Certainly, if multiple cards support VS3.0 and within a couple of months multiple IHVs support PS3.0 (IMG?) would be quite different from PS1.4 support.

That's a bloody huge IF on the PS3.0 part.
Anyways, why would FM bother patching 3dmark03 instead of using SM3 as a checkbox feature on 3dmark04...?

Honnestly i think it would not be a wise move for FM to go that road.

I mean, people were already confused with the "theses drivers are approved but only after that patch", they would get a lot of flack if they start to add drivers allowed only for certain chips on top of that.

in short, the score was photochopped and gt1 gets a significant boost (74%) compared to everything else (27-38%), yet gt1 is system dependent

for those that dont know who macci is, he is on top of the orb for 3dmark03 and the only person to break 10k
