Nintendo DS: The London Event

Those of you boys who on this very forum have stated that you always prefered PSX textures and graphics to N64 should be happy with DS. Thats the way I'm seeing it. Hunters has some sharp textures in place but they are'nt filtered ala PSX. So now you can't say it 's got that "N64 blur" to it.

I'll bet on the small screen when you are playing it DS looks amazing. I remember the frist time I saw Tony Hawk on the small PSOne screen that was being sold. It looked great. Same applies here with DS.

DS is similar in performance to N64, as I said, without the filtering. What squeak is saying is that filtering isn't needed because of the smaller screen and the fact that it can do much higher res textures. Wether that's true or not is arguable. But I'd lean towards agreeing with him. On a TV screen the lack of filtering on PSX looked terrible to me. But on a small screen (and with what look like higher res textures then PSX ever put out as well) it may look much better, and cheap bilinear filtering (ala N64) may just make it look uneccesarily blurry. Or maybe not, haven't seen the system running with my own eye's so..
