New machine, problems with DX9 SDK

Well, the only real problem I have is that the ReFrast doesn't seem to be installed although the SDK installation seemed to have completed without any error.

I installed the new machine yesterday, in the following order (in case the order of installation may have anything to do with the problem) :

WinXP
DX9.0
DX9.0b
ATI display drivers
WinXP SP1
A couple of WinXP security patches/hotfixes
DX9 SDK

Any help appreciated.

Are you sure the developer runtime is installed? Check to see if the DirectX Control Panel applet is present.

Why bother installing DX9 if you're then going to install DX9b? In fact why bother installing either if you're going to install the SDK (with dev. runtime?) Did you get the 9b SDK?

It's not installed on mine either Rev.

On mine it is and yes the DX CP is present.
I'm using the original DX9 SDK not the DX9b SDK.

I just wanted to say that installed the DX9 summer update (DX9.0b) fixed it.

I think the problem was that right after I installed WinXP on the new machine, I installed DX9 and DX9.0b one after the other, and then installed the original DX9.0 SDK.
