Good Morning :)

Sorry Simon, I dont know. Maybe you should ask this in the other thread because there are nice people with much more knowledge and experience. Maybe Deepak can help you.

Question: Is your mobo a BX or LX mobo?

I must say you are such a nice person :D !

SF, could you tell us the project you were folding till now? Was it a Tinker or a Gromac

I think your best chance is with Gromac WUs. Gromacs fold faster and are more rewarding as well.

1.Use window console client.
2.Use -advmethods and -forceasm flags.

-advmethods flag helps in getting Gromac WUs.
-if the -forceasm flag is used, SSE will be used, if available, on every work unit run...hence folding will be faster.

Judging by the log it was "Tinker".

So is there no way of doing that with the graphical client? I might try putting it on the "command" line for the icon... maybe it will work <shrug>

Update:
According to the log file, you can put the command line options on the graphical client as well. The question now remains as to how I stop it working on the current "tinker" Work unit and run the "Gromacs".

OH BTW: What is the difference between the Genome and Folding clients?

Sorry for late reply SF....weekends... :D

I suggest you to go through the links provided by Pascal on the first page of the *official* FAH thread.

Most of the answers are there....slightly busy right now....
