A friend called today wanting a recomendation for a laptop
he also mentioned he was taking up his old hobby and making some circuit boards

Swapping a potentiometer shouldn't be hard to do with a soldering iron.
Just make sure you get the the replacement part before giving it to him.
 
Hey davros how is the 670 working out for you? How does it compare to the 6950? They are both 2GB cards but I've a feeling the 670 is much faster.
 
I've found that amazon have gotten pretty competitive. The cheapest 980Ti I could find was on there.

Ebuyer also has good deals sometimes.

Imagine that instead of addressing the card to me he addressed it to
D.A.V Component Repair Services L.T.D
and put on the form it was being sent off for repairs ?
