Muhahahaha...Ghost Recon 3 footage.

This is a true next gen game. The animation really looks good. The soldiers are moving very realisticly. They move like they should considering all the weight they carry from combat gear, plus using cover to shield themselves from hostile enemy fire. The graphics rock.

No doubt about it, Ghost Recon 3 will be a great experience online.

This is what HD gaming is all about.

Well it looks like the footage we have been seeing is gameplay.

Looks like a 3rd Person Shooter. Basically a FPS with a behind the shoulder view so you can duck and do other things you cannot do in a FPS easily. Seems like a very nice Squad based shooter.

Btw, the graphics are good, but after seeing more you can see the "limitations" so to speak. The asphalt texture is excellent but you can see a break in it here or there. Same goes when the tank is blown up. It does not look bad, but it does not have the INSANE particle effects/smoke/flash. Another example is a shadow on a treet has a clear "break" to it (not a soft shadow it appears... makes me wonder if it is using precomputer shadows or since the R500 is supposed to do stencils well if it is doing that). The other thing I noticed was an HDR effect when he looked up. It goes from being bright to less bright and slowly stuff became clear and not washed out from light. Grass also looks very titled/boring at the end when zoomed in across the courtyard. Simiarly when they are hiding behind the concrete wall taking pot shots the concrete is really square and boring, would not expect that in CGI.

Basically this game looks like it could be a high end PC DX9 game. Next gen graphics and some SWEET looking gameplay. I am not trying to say this looks bad, because it looks GREAT. But after seeing more footage it seems more believable. Definately up there with the best 2 or 3 live demoes shown. To compare to a current DX9 title being released in a month, BF2, this looks like a good year ahead in graphical advancement.

I wonder if the footage was captured on a 6800? Maybe the PC version?

Am I the only one who gets "File Transfer: Unavailable"?

I got it earlier.

Basically an extended clip for the shoter trailer (maybe 3-4x as long) and it is pretty clearly gameplay. Really smooth too... which makes you wonder HOW. Is it something like Heavenly Sword, running on a PC box, what? Anyhow, same quality, just more footage and more gameplay like elements. Also they show a bit of the nice interface.

4:3 is so dead guys.

Seeing how they are using 16:9 and having that extra room for like video chat on screeen and what not... droooool

It was running on Dev Kits, Dual G5 2.5 (if i'm not mistaken), 256 of Ram and ati x800.

That's realtime?!
Everything about the presentation screams "prerendered" to me. But if it is actually realtime, colour me impressed. Still puzzled as to why the hell MS showed such crap at conferences when they have much better material already.

Because MS has a long way to go to match Sony's experience and talent at marketing and presentation. They could've made that E3 PC a hell of a lot more interesting by pulling out the flash, shock, and awe action, which is what people want out of a showing like that.

OH MAN THANKS!!!

If this beauty is running on a dual G5 with an X850XT, I'm now sure that killzone is possible on a cell+RSX.

YEAH!!! TODAY I'M HAPPY!!

Eh, what is this, exactly? This is sure as hell not in-game footage. Looks like a pre-rendered intro video from where I sit.

Its actually just X800 (Because G5 apparently dont have up to X850). These Dev Kits are much more limited than the SOny dev kits, its curious that it is so......

And Ghost Recon 3 is running on engine but Scripted to better show some of the Stuff in the game.

edit: To the guys thinking that this was pre rendered like Killzone 2.....have you guys seen Gears Of War? That thing was being played on the Dev Kits......so i dont see how Ghost REcon 3 is hard to believe, Gears OF WAr looks better.
