Movie Reviews 2.0

Just watched Basterds on blu-ray and enjoyed it thoroughly (8.5/10) Pitt was actually hysterical (I can't abide that) and, as JR said, the scene in the basement tavern was amazing.

I'm flabbergasted how anyone could like at least Elephant Man though.

Regards,
SB

Missed this post. I didn't realize Lynch directed Elephant Man, a movie I caught on cable in the mid-80s or so. Good movie so my detestation of Lynch's work will be dialed back a notch <g>.

Wife and I hit Movies on Demand quite a bit over the holidays, even on new year's eve (ah, good ole' middle-agedness). Sandra Bullock's latest efforts, All About Steve and The Proposal, were both pretty mediocre movies, though the wife appreciated the shirtless Ryan Reynolds scene from the latter of the two. Was forced to watch He's just not that into you or some such drivel, a stupefyingly boring chick flick with one redeeming scene: Bradley Cooper lifting and separating Scarlett Johannsen's ass cheeks, probably the most erotic moment in any non-porn film I've seen in years. My heart went into immediate fibrillation, two thumbs and one aged erect penis up.

My inner geek is really looking forward to The Wolfman, the Clash of Titans remake, and of course Legion.

I think Basterds may be my favorite tarantino film, perhaps that just means I never liked his other films that much, but I quite liked it. I am not sure what I think yet, but around an 8-9/10 as well.

Note to self: never read this thread (or any that JR's visits regularly) during lunch.
ew.

LOL Hey, it's not my fault your mind went for a mental picture of my cock instead of imagining Ms. Johannsen's body.

Trust me, my mind hit eject after "aged erect"...and you post a description of Ms. Johansson like that you'd best offer a linky to the vid, k?

[just lucky my stomach didn't also]

He's just not that into you

I actually liked this one. Would probably give it an 8/10. And yes, I think this may well be the first movie ever where I found Scarlett Johansson truly sexy. She's filling out nicely! (I like curves)

I just thought it was a bit tame for causing erec...uh...fibrillation.

Like Arwin, I like curves and there was just something about that scene (seconds 31+ in Babel's link). OK, I admit it, it was Bradley Cooper that was making my heart fibrillate.
