Yes! Psylocke in X-Men: Apocalypse. Olivia Munn is cast which I think is interesting, but lets see if she gets the accent.

For any amateur and not so amateur particle physics lovers, I just watched Particle Fever, which was a great, great docu-film about the LHC and some of the people involved. Brilliant.

Yep. It follows the first collisions on the LHC all the way to the Higgs. The way it's presented is so gripping (to me at least), as it's spoken from the physicists' mouths and they're like little excited kids who were just given the biggest toy to play with.

Just watched it, very good just wish there was more actual physics in it.
Also the physicists were far too normal for my liking, I like my physicists to be as mad as a hatter...

Here you go! :)

Yeah, just eccentric, but I still remember that scene.

Oh I really don't know about the superman vs batman movie. It might be a great flick, but storyline wise, I just can't imagine how these two chracters can end up in the same movie and "work". Superman technically is over powered to the point he is truly a "god" - batman, aka Bruce Wayne, only has technological gadgets at his disposal. And they're both supposed to be good, essentially on the same side. Maybe I'm too spoilt by the gritty realism from the Nolan Batman movies that I simply don't want to see an Avengers type flick turned into it. Avengers IMO worked because both Iron Man, Thor and Captain America were a bit more on the light hearted "superhero flick" side.

Then again, maybe it's Ben Affleck as Batman. :/

Now Man of Steel was good. I'd rather just see a badass sequel to that.

Well there have been plenty of Batman vs Superman storylines in the comics so there should be quite a bit of decent material to take notes from. And Superman never just wins by default because he's a 'god'.

One thing is for sure, this will not be an Avengers type movie, first of all because of the darker themes and - it would seem - total lack of "lightheartedness". Which I love in the Avengers movies.

Then again Joss Whedon has always been the master of intertwining great humour in tragic/dramatic stories. Zack Snyder, well, I can only say that everything he has made was a masterclass in visuals and taking oneself way too seriously, which made it a lot less interesting. And I liked Man of Steel, all in all.

Well that hasn't stop Luthor from trying now has it? :) I'm sure kryptonite will rear its ugly head soon enough... But anyways this is supposed to be the birth of Justice League isn't it? so they'll end up kissing and making up in the end anyway, at the very least there will be some type of peace between them in the end, even if Batman will continue to be the darkest character in this comic universe.

Can't wait for Avengers 2, got my ticket purchased already for next Thursday!

Well Spiderman was one of the main characters in Civil War, which is Captain America's next film. Would have been awkward to do it without him. It also fits well with the rest of the MCU universe.

I really don't like the new Spiderman reboot very much. Is that the one we'll see in Civil War? I also have a hard time seeing Spiderman interact with the rest of the universe, as he always felt a little bit like a spoof on super-heroes to begin with. But the Spiderman that got to the end of the previous trilogy really felt like a character that had been through enough to be a hardened, adult, serious Spiderman that could take on an important part in a larger whole. The current reboot is a long way from that. I only really watched those because I wanted to watch something for the whole family, basically.

Also wonder if my son could handle The Avengers 2. The first was ok, but I basically still need to translate everything for him as he's not good enough at reading to read the subtitles and can't understand the English well enough yet. Maybe I can get away with translating at a kid-friendly hour, but there are enough other movies that are fun for him to go see of course, so we'll see.

As for SuperMan versus Batman, yes, I think that could work, though as Batman is just switching characters, I'm not holding up hopes. SuperMan is still underdeveloped in his last movie, and Batman hasn't developed yet at all (being a new actor is like having a reboot, I feel). Very bad timing.

The new "MCU Spiderman" will be new, again. The previous trilogy and the reboot are totally forgotten, and this will be a new (newer) reboot of the character, which will fit in the MCU universe together with the Avengers boys and girls. And still separate from the X-Men. Out of all the 5 movies I think I only really loved the second one - the one with Octopus. It was on a completely different level from the other ones.

Last time I checked, the new Batman (Ben Affleck) will have nothing to do with the Dark Knight trilogy. But it will be implied that Batman is older and has already been through a lot of shit. So it's another reboot, joining the Superman that was only rebooted a couple of years ago, together with Wonder Woman and probably more characters from the JLA.

The Fantastic Four are getting rebooted too, outside of the MCU, only no one knows about it and those who do know, don't really understand why.

A lot of reboots going round.
