Jupiter Ascending: Batshit crazy
Kingsmen: Great fun

 

Jupiter Ascending felt like a B movie production being given a big budget. I personally like it but I can't recommend someone to watch it, because there is this one other movie which is a much better movie that came out nearly at the same time as Jupiter Ascending... Of course that other movie is Kingsmen! Like Dave said, great fun! When I choose to watch it, I know it would be fun, but not that much fun.

Iron Man makes Ultron,
Ultron goes AI crazy and has that whole bad-guy-but-not-really-bad-cause-he-has-good-intentions-except-for-exterminating-humans thing going on for him, which makes him more interesting and endearing than the normal bad guy.
Scarlett and brother are bad guys then they're not bad anymore.
The Hulk smashes Scarlett Johansson (that's gonna hurt).
Thor is mega hot.
Cap is mega hot.
Robots, explosions.
The Vision has scary rolling android eyes.
The end.

I must admit, I was surprised I managed to beat you on this haha. So who/what is that Vision dude?

 

In the comics he is created by Ultron and ends up being one of the good guys.

 

Paul Bettany, who also happens to be the voice of Jarvis

 

Considering that he's based on Paul Bettany's likeness and also played by the actor, it's not too hard to draw conclusions - it's probably Jarvis upgraded and inserted into a robotic body.

 

He's human but he's an android. Something like a synthetic human. You know, comics.

 

Jarvis is Stark's household pseudo-AI, in that he could probably pass the Turing test but isn't actually intelligent or self conscious (otherwise the whole Ultron thing wouldn't make much sense).

 

He must be getting a big upgrade cause the Vision is very much a big AI self sufficient robot guy thing. With funny eyes.

 

Why is that video warping and moving when I watch it? YT comments confirm it's not me going crazy.

How do you mean? I don't notice anything like that.

 

It was really weird. The video would be moving around like I was on a boat with the top and bottom borders swaying to and fro. I've never seen that before but apparently I wasn't the only one.

 

You weren't, it was corrected after a few hours.

The Fault in Our Stars, a movie about two teenagers fighting different forms of cancer who meet in a support group and eventually fall in love. Written by John Green, whose Youtube videos get posted all over the place. Wife and I watched the movie on HBO and I liked it well enough to grab a copy from the local library and read it last weekend in two sittings.

It's worth watching even if the overall narrative doesn't sound all that appealing because it handles the subject in a non-sentimental manner. The characters are very likable too, at least to me.
