WTF? I'm pretty dumbfounded. You'd think Konami would take the premise and general themes of the franchise and develop a new title.

They've seen to have taken just the assets and created a game so unfamiliar in terms of how we think of metal gear. Does the game even have metal gears in them?

I'll second that WTF!

Let's make a game re-using the assets of MGS V and call it MGS[urvive] and we'll also make it so that it deviates so far from past games in the series that people won't know what the F is going on and why it is being called a Metal Gear game.

Sounds like it's just going to be a cheap cash grab. Sad day.

The game is about the survival of a famous franchise without its original creator. You play as a the dev team behind the first concept of MGRising, trying to make them release a finished project that is shippable and doesn't get panned by critics. How many employees can you retain before evil Kojima (fictional villain in the game, kills office cats) snaches up your best team members? Can you do it in a tight budget?
Very conceptual game guys, might end up being interesting.
