That's the videogame industry for you. At least XBO owners get to play it. If Sony bought exclusivity for this game it'd be even worse.

Yeah I know what you mean. Its a double edged sword. Exclusive content is used to make us choose one console over the other. It artificially creates the idea that it "adds" value in our investment but it certainly reduces the perceived value of our investment when its exclusive for another console.
I can accept exclusive games (even though I find it annoying too when I cant own all consoles). Its what keeps the market diversified and makes the products more unique. But much like you I find it less justifiable when it comes to DLC/content/timed stuff. Its not the same as being able to play Super Mario only on a Nintendo console. Or Halo on an XBOX. Or Uncharted only on a PS. Its the same game on all platforms and they make distinctions on what or when you can access on each platform. It feels unfair

I can make the exception for MGS V though ;) MGS1 is tied to the original Playstation as much as Super Mario is for Nintendo (at least for me). Seeing MGS1 fan service on XBOX is the same as the Rolling Stones performing fan service live at a DJ'ing Trance event :LOL:
I was a PS owner and MGS1 is one of the most memorable games I have ever played on the platform. When I remember PS1 I remember MGS1 and vice versa. Even if I manage to own both next gen consoles, it would still not feel right to see that fan service on the XB1. It would ruin the magical taste nostalgia has left from the Playstation 1 era. Now we see a nod to the past with the Playstation of our age :)

I believe that the luckiest gamers ever were those that owned the original PS in the 32 bit era (and maybe PS2). They were the majority of the market and they got swarms of exclusive games and content

I think it will be related a lot with the creation of the les enfant terribles. I am not sure how Kojima will explain the high tech gear that Big Boss uses in the game considering the time line. But we sure saw prosthetic machanical parts. I diubt we will see nanomachines
 
Honestly the Xbox exclusive content is just as uninspiring as the PlayStation exclusive content.

I actually like them for what they are.
The PS4 exclusive content is a nod to the past which I love as a huge old MGS fan
I like the exclusive XB1 content too as it reminds me a lot of the movie They Live. I am pretty sure its a nod to that movie as Hideo Kojima is a huge moviephile and the movie They Live has many similarities to the MGS universe.

If it had Raiden slicing and Dicing like MGR, then it would be awesome. But it seems like a Raiden skin for Snake, he shoots a gun ! Where as, the Deja Vu mission has MGS 1 scenes re created: more interesting to me.
EDIT: BTW< read somewhere that MGS Ground Zeroes releases on March 18th

Its not just a skin. He also has special abilities.

He was just shown running fast and then shooting like Snake. Anyways, kojima will make sure its a good one. We can be sure of that. If it was the slicing and dicing raiden in next gen visuals, i would have been actually excited.

I think the exclusives are quite befitting the platfomrs. Previous X360 owners might have had a shot at Raiden with MGR and Playstationers get to relive the orignal moments. Wasn't MGS2 on Xbox too? That makes even more sense.
 

Description says its XBone footage. Expains the difficulty settings of the game too. Lots of info. You can turn off th emarkers and will get a bonus if u beat a mission without markers. Same for the Slo-mo ability, although I think its fine as it happens only when u r spotted the "First" time in a mission.

Its not the exact same TGS footage. This time during chopper extraction, player hit much more exploding barrels. Its brand new gameplay video of the same mission.
 
Brilliant advice. Buy PS4/XBO if you have nextgen console, otherwise don't. :rolleyes:
