Medal of Honor Reboot

Really? Then how come I could play the entire SP campaign in coop with my friends online? Why would they port all that content to a new engine that changed the game not one bit aside allowing me to play over the network? The other MP modes had no discernable difference to SP aside gameplay. What was the point?

Not with GRAW on the Xbox360 you coudln't. There were some maps specifically designed for co-op, but they weren't part of the story. Also, the gameplay itself was very different in co-op, missing the cover mechanic and squad order elements that made the SP game so fresh at the time.

GRAW on the PC, on the other hand, did allow the campaign to be played in co-op. Hiwever, it was a completely different game than the 360 one which, while re-using assets from the 360, ran on a completely different engine and had a very different playstyle.

Holy fuck I'm in the console forum. Apologies, I didn't realise.

How's this game then? The videos had looked really good. How does it play? Is it as good as BF gameplay? I liked their visual aesthetics a lot, did they work in the final game?

Day time missions look quite nice with all that dynamic shadows, nice lighting, HDR? sun shaft and high res textures, though the night levels look like ass and generally very flat. Explosions are very weak, no object motion blur or SSAO, and destructible environments are very limited. Still, it's looking far better than MW2 and about on par with BC2.
The missions are less over the top, I guess they wanna be as authentic to the real world scenario as possible. The game is way too short but overall I enjoyed it a lot more than MW2 though not as fun as BC2.

I'm a little worried, one of my online bud's has asked me to buy this game since he pretty much gave up on MAG (me right along with him) and I'm planning on buying it tonight. However I don't see a lot of chatter about the game currently and that is what has me worried. MAG suffered from low player counts and I'm curious if MOH is going to be the same as this thread is pretty quiet.

I don't know what all the fuss was about with this game. It plays like Medal of Honour always has, it just has some nice graphics and a modern setting. I've played all the way through the campaign and I enjoyed it just as much as any COD game.

There are a few moments where it stops to think about stuff for a while, and you can still get stuck on scenery. But nothing that really impacts the game. Some missions (the apache strike in particular) are that fast paced that it becomes very difficult to see your objective but that may be just a realistic taste!?

I'd give it an 7-8/10.
