Medal of Honor Reboot

Texture quality, lighting quality and its general look, all combined with 60 fps. Also, at least someone should license id Tech 6, and EA being their publisher is a good contender.

And wasn't the last MoH using Unreal3? This certainly doesn't look like that and I doubt they would come up with something of their own in such short time.

Character models are not good, I can only agree with that - far too smooth, lacking detail and generally boring.

I just assumed it was the DICE engine, Frostbite.
Character models may be poor, but it still looks better MW2, like a software generation ahead of it. How are they gunna render those graphics, specifically the lighting, on 360 and PS3 at 60 fps when their competition cant even do it at a sub-HD resolution? The scale of the battles will probably be small, maybe smaller encounters like GRAW?

Characters in MW2 are loads better looking. But I doubt the Frostbite engine could be optimized to 60 fps... or that repi could answer this question for us ;)

And again, we know Rage can work at 720p + 60 fps (or at least it's supposed to be able to), probably because all the environment lighting is baked in. This exceptional image quality / speed combination is the only reason why I suspect id Tech 6 involvement.

I phrased myself poorly....MW2 has better character models, but the lighting and environment detail, even with their new texture streaming, is not as good as the stuff in this trailer.

I don't recall Id ever saying anything about 720p on the consoles. The only talk I remember hearing is of 60fps.

Carmack is an image quality fanatic, so I've always assumed that Rage is going to use a full sized frame buffer. The X360 should be able to manage this without tiling if no AA is used, and probably the PS3 can run it as well.

Hmmm.... could it be using the Rage engine from id? Looks and 60fps speed are similar...

I'm no dev, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Rage's (the game) shadows are prebaked.... it doesn't seem like the shadows of MOH are...

as a graphics whore, game looks amazing :)

edit-

The trailer is out in good quality, here for example: http://www.bigdownload.com/games/medal-of-honor/pc/medal-of-honor-teaser-trailer-hd/. 60fps! I'm not sure it maintains 60 all the time though.

just watched it, OMG!!!!

Rage has dynamic shadows for the moving objects, but time of day is static and thus shadows of the environment are static too. Now i haven't seen anything in that MoH trailer that wouldn't fit into that...

Isn't the Rage engine Id Tech "5" and not Tech "6"?!?!?

On the other hand I certainly suspected that what they showed seemed a bit too good to be true for X360 and PS3...

Maybe they showed the PC version :???:

Heh, yeah I thought that was odd, as the only rumor blips about possible Tech 6, was Carmack possibly experimenting with Voxels.
