Matrix Revolutions blows - SPOILER WARNING

I can't f'king believe that Neo dies at the end.

I seen it coming a mile away. Can't they get a more original plot?

EDIT: Nevermind.

What are you talking about? Neo may or may not die in the end. He may end up sacrificing himself like a Jesus figure, but that doesn't mean he dies. He could "ascend",e.g. upload his consciousness into the Matrix and become a program.

Reloaded hints at this much. I doubt the Matrix is destroyed at the end of Revolutions. They can't turn it off because billions of people will die. Even if they could unplug them, where they gonna grow enough food in Zion to feed all of them?

Right now, the machines are the caretakers of humanity. In the Animatrix, in both Second Renaissance II and Matriculated, they hint at co-existence and symbiosis. In Reloaded, Neo and the Councilman have a long talk about coexistence. Hell, Zion even was probably built by the machines in the first place to house the resistance.

Before the first man-machine war, there was coexistence. I bet at the end of Revolutions, humans simply regain control of their destiny, both in the real world, and in the matrix, and it doesn't neccessarily mean the destruction of the Matrix or most of the AI intelligences.

I can't fathom how you can claim a movie that isn't out yet, and there is no leaked script, can "suck". (if there was a leak, I would have it. Everyone who is a rabid Matrix fan had the JB Scriptment years ago)

They could just let them all die, it would impossible to free all of them and conditions on the surface really suck.

You can't f'king believe that Neo dies at the end? Well I can't f'king believe you don't even have the smallest amount of courtesy to at least display a spoiler warning before you go and tell all.

You do realise that 'your intarweb' does actually spread over the rest of the planet and isn't just 'your' plaything. A planet where maybe other people (who figure little in your meagre existence) have to wait to even be given the chance to see the film... actually I'd imagine there's plenty of people in 'your' country who haven't seen it yet and don't want the ending spoiled.

Flame away, but at least try and think of other people next time you go and shoot your mouth off... twat.

While jaz00k could've been more polite about it, I do agree with the sentiment that it's just netiquette to take the minute to write the word SPOILER.

Sure I could've, but I actually found that was pretty good therapy, and while my sentiments to the original poster remain the same... it won't be that long till it's released over here and I get to find out how that ending comes to pass

Yes 'spoiler' would have been nice

However this is the matrix though and since the plot is utter drivel I doubt its going to matter too much :D

The films are special effects show offs to me, good fun but not worth seeing on anything other than a big screen imo,

One thing I hope people remember is that we've had 4 years to deconstruct the original Matrix. I remember I had to see the film a good 4 or 5 times before I really began to get through all of the layers and truly appreciate how great it was.

I've now seen the original about 20-30 times, and I now realize how great a film it was. But no way in hell did I realize that when I first saw it. It was just too much to take in at once.

To be honest, I fell asleep in the theater the first time I saw it. I don't know if it was because I was bored or tired, but I just couldn't get into it. Then I saw it a few more times and I was like "hmm..." and then "Damn!" and then "Holy Shit!!!"

Remembering my experience with the first film, I think you guys who think this movie completely and utterly sucks balls would do well to watch it quite a few times. All of the explanations I've read thus far about it show that there is *much* room for interpretation and much subtexting and layering, just like the original.

Give it time. If I recall, the first Matrix got panned pretty badly initially too. ;)

I did not divulge any spoilers about Reloaded. KILER is talking out of his ass about REVOLUTIONS, the movie in November, that no one has seen yet.

Everything I said was MERE SPECULATION. I did not divulge any major plot points about RELOADED.

Typical liberal...if someone doesn't agree with your opinion, just repeat it often enough for it to become reality.

:p

In all seriousness, I thought Reloaded was pretty good, and wouldn't mind seeing it again for many of the reasons you stated. :) After only having seen Reloaded "once", I did like the original better. Unlike you though, I was thoroughly impressed with the original the first time I saw it, (probably combination of story and effects), and this one just didn't recapture that "wow" factor.

Which admitedly is tough for any sequel to do...

I was really excited about the trailer for Terminator 3! Imagine this: a darkened earth ruled by machines! Er...wait a minute....

I must be growing up a bit. I got bored during some of the kung fu scenes. I think they watered the plot down (the part of the movie that made the first one so interesting) and spread it out too thin with looong kung fu scenes.

And why the hell did my theater run the Legally Blonde II trailer? Somebody completely missed on the demographics with that one.

Lol...so did mine, and I thought exactly the same thing. :)

I know exactly what you mean about "feeling old" wrt to the fighting...instead of me thinking "skip all this plot-filler crap and get to the action", I was thinking "ok...enough of the been-there-done-that kung-fu, and get on with the story"

Perhaps we can start a new thread just discussing Reloaded for those who have seen it (so it's clear there will be spoilers for those who haven't)?

I don't know about you...I saw "Reloaded" today. :)

K.I.L.E.R. is actually originally talking about the NEXT sequel, "Revolutions."

X men was better. The fight seens in the matrix looked like a video game or something. very boring fights. I think Xmen was just a little better.

I might agree about the Burly Brawl with 100 Smiths, but the battle in the chateau with those old programs was not-CGI and was way better than any X2 brawls. The wolverine/deathstrike fight was rather disappointing IMHO.
