Just a couple of quick questions....
I read this on another site:
In a "preview" I'm rather disappointed [H] left the XT out of their article. I hope this 'standard' is applied across the board for all future previews, so when Intel or AMD launch a new product [H]'s preview won't actually include benchmark tests/scores unless the part is available from e-tailers that very day. And that would make for some amusing reading: "Hey, today we're bringing you a preview of the FX-59; unfortunately, browsing around major e-tailers shows that it's not yet available for purchase, so our preview today will consist of a brief write-up on this new part, followed by scores from the competitor's parts that are available for purchase. Bon appetit!"
Do you think you sort of hamstrung yourself on future previews by setting the standard on product availability?
Also, I read this and wondered if there was any truth to it:
Dare I mention a little birdie whispered something in my ear this morning, that a certain IHV who just so happens to be a competitor to ATI was sending out e-mails this week suggesting a few things, such as not reviewing their competitor's parts that aren't yet available.
This has been yet another episode of the Emmy-winning soap opera, All Our ALUs. Stay tuned for our next exciting episode as we watch more fecal matter hit the oscillating unit.
Did you receive any e-mails from any competitors of ATi last week suggesting to you that you not review products that aren't on the market?
