KILLZONE Shadow Fall [PS4]

The lighting in these test setups is much better than what we get in game. Maybe that makes the difference. Have they abandoned that ugly SSAO yet or not ?

But having such high quality models in game.........I want to see them on my TV now !!!

They are probably "in-game" in the same way Naughty Dog calls their cut-scene models "in-game", i.e. same character models, just rendered at insane quality settings and with all sorts of extra bells and whistles. Of course I'd love to be proven wrong.

KZ2&3 cutscene models are exactly the same as their in game counterpart, same texture res, shader quality and poly count. I don't expect GG to deviate in KZ SF.

Yes, but lighting quality is always miles ahead of what u get in realtime in-game. I am expecting and seeing the same difference here.

KZ2 was all rendered in real time though, KZ3 cut scene looks pretty mediocre, major difference is the missing SSAO in game.

I don't even get their use of SSAO, as from their rendering presentation, I got the impression it's screen-space ray marching was automatically getting ambient light occluded.

Another playthrough of the same area. I hope they tone down the lens flares fro the Helghast eyes.

How do I download youtube videos in Chrome? My flash player keeps crashing in firefox, so I switched to chrome.

BTW, you can see that character model in this video, the Helghast with that cool helmet. If only thi video was on Gamersyde, we could actually see if it looks like th escreengrab here.

NNear the end(around 7min mark) you can see smoke affected by thOWL drone going past it ! I want more of that ! MORE !!

Just saw that, very nice touch. Killzone games have always put that extra effort into the particles in terms of physically interacting with the surroundings. We so need a high bit rate video from GG!

Kotaku's preview, has the FULL playthrough of the E3 demo. The Bullet time mode uses a health slot and destructable pillars are visible in the start. The Helghast sniper can teleport now  !!!!!

The kotaku guy has no clue how to play a shooter here, but thankfully the CD of the game takes the controller from him  !

Beautiful looking game. You know maybe because it's the high bit rate encode in this video, it makes the game look so much better than any other walkthroughs I've seen. Every inch of the level was covered in high res textures and you can appreciate the art work so much more. Have to say this level was way overlooked.

That does look rather nice. I also get a distinct Jak & Daxter vibe... the scale is something quite impressive, especially the view at the beginning, then as he walkes towards that part of the level. It does seem like everything you see, you can go to and explore. Very nice.

Finally a gaming/review site, that actually takes their time on adjusting the video equipment before actually filming. Anyhow, KZSF looks very gorgeous and fluid.
