No sir, maybe you are forgetting the "Park" level. it was full of trees and pink flowers. And the Bamboo forest was all lush green, vektan slums were Star Wars Orange+Cream coloured.
KZ1 had those atmospheric monochormatic levels, Like the swamps, the docks, but also had a lot of colourful ones. I think it will be the same for Shadow Fall.
That was one level, and not one GG would have chosen to market that game while it was in development. Them choosing this new modern and colorfull Vekta for their first showing of their new game is great indication that thats the overall feel the game will have. With variety of course, but with that overal style and tone. The new synth based soundtrack leaves no doubt they are going for a very different direction here. All past KZ games as far as I remember hada very classical orchestral score.
