KILLZONE Shadow Fall [PS4]

The game looks too fast paced than traditional KZ game. I looks a bit like Crysis game with the change in FOV as well, which I do not like much TBH. Having said that I am still interested in this game :)

The volumetric scene at the end was pretty neat hopefully that makes it into game.

The cityscape night scene looks great. If they add fireworks, it would be like a FFXIII scene.

Good to see the environmental effects in play. But hope to see their work on sand/snow, water and fire.

I don't mind KZ3 controls. It's responsive but still "weighty".

Now I wonder if the light scatering on the city down bellow during the initial fly-over used some baked volume texture, or was actually a natural result of their dynamic system.

nice design, looks more agressive and oppressive than the basic helghast models from the previous games alhtough I don't like the all hoodie look, looks like a cross between vador and assassin's creed outfit lol

I don't like th enew Helghast look either. Looks like a Cat+mouse somehow , thanx to that white strip on his face. I am sure this is just one of th enew Helghast soldiers, hence they are showing this all around.

I like the metal look better than this new "Leather" look.

Looks like a pretty logical progression from how the Sniper's evolved over the years (I assume this is a sniper, as that's the one that had the Assassin's Creed style hood already in Killzone 3?)

Well this one looks more like the saboteur/ infiltrator class with optic camo.

here's the sniper outfit from shadow fall

But I too prefer the old look and armored version of the helghast from KZ2.
Most of the new helghast class and characters from KZ3 were too sci-fi robocop style looking imo.

But I ll look forward to see more of Shadowfall but would hope to see more conventional weapons and not find too much laser , railgun like weapons in this new itteration.

The weapon sounds in the demo had already got a sci-fi touch to them. I fact the vehicle sounds too had gone for sci-fi in the demo. I like the original 'realistic' sound design better.

But if the game is fun, its all ok.

Killzone is definitely going the colorzone route going by the general design :(, it looks beautiful and all but I still prefer the muted, gritty, oppressive atmosphere of Helghan in KZ2. The model looks very high quality for a NPC, guess we'll have to get use to the 40k poly, 6x 2k texture maps enemy character for nextgen :).

I hope that we get at least both. The city is split in two parts, I hope that you visit the Helghan side of the city which should be more gritty and industrial.

Yeah I hope we at least get a fly through of their city at night since all the red lights would look so much more prettier in dark environment and illuminating the structures.

But this one is set on Vekta isn't it? In the first KZ Vekta was a world of lush, cherry tree filled, parks, decayed urban docklands. Some sections were set on barren wind swept dunes and arid looking sun bleached foothills. I think they have lots of room to manoeuvre!

But I know what you're saying about the gritty atmosphere, perhaps, once the shooting starts, it'll get gritty pretty quickly.

You can see it right at the end of the KZ SF demo gameplay they showed at the Sony event. When the player stands on the wall and gets surrounded by the flying drones (I guess that this setting might be similar to the Berlin wall, where Berlin was separated after the war). Looking into the other part of the city you can see that it is more industrial imo:
