Japan Sales Thread *renamed

Bit OT, but does anyone know the best selling PS3 game in Japan. Is that Gundam Musou or something else?
 
dunno, but Minna no Golf will most likely take the lead soon enough. the PS3 is really lacking games that appeal to them and MNG has always been pretty popular there.
 
Still, hw sales only doubled and that was even with a pack for only 300 euros. I wouldnt be suprised that by next week hw sales are almost normal again and MNG is gone. You'd expect that with the lack of ps3 games everybody interested in the game will get it in 1 or 2 weeks.
 
well, this is the second week that MNG was released and its still in the top 3 and PS3 HW sales are still double of what they were before (they were nearly triple the first week that MNG came out).
 
Double or triple just mean less than 30 k a week with the only huge PS3 game realeased in Japan and with very few games expected in Japan next months.

I ll be very surprised if PS3 is not back around 15 k next thursday numbers.
 
Nice cloth physics. Collisions are accurate. Light occlusion under the skirt is static which doesn't look very good when the skirt is billowing out, but overall the lighting model is good. Not good enough to warrant peering at virtual knickers, but I guess when 8 year old boys play the game they might find some amusement in it. If the ability to peer up skirts sells this game and PS3s, every PS3 is a cheap PS3 which sets a low precedent for future titles...

Sales for lastweek are quite interesting in Japan all consoles down by decent amounts (except for the PS2 and slowest week of the year apparently).

This is the lowest Wii sales have been in ages. Either demand is finally being met (signs of that according to Vinkk's report) or there might be truth to consoles being diverted to US for Nintendo's Big 3 (probably on the basis they've decided they are far enough ahead in Japan and wish to catch up to the 360 faster in the US and balance out 360's rising sales here shortly).

All hardware sales are down about 25% this week (well except for the GBA and GCN which are bound to overpass everyone in no time).
 
I would say the Typhoon last week is at least partially to blame for the low console sales. No one wants to go out and buy a big box of expensive electronics when it's coming down like cats and dogs with horizontal rain.

Wii does look like already very near to it's saturation point though. Next week's PSP numbers are going to be CRAZY!
