Well so much for Zeck's argument that the 360 is decreasing at the greatest rate.

wow ... seems either Nintendo's DS factories are stalling or demand is starting to settle (market saturation?)

Wii number is also curious. :???:

DS seems to fluctuate between about 120,000 and, 160-200k every other week. It seems to be supply issues. DS sales are incredible. For example, it's absurd it sold 200k last week. This is not a holiday or anything.

Wii seems to bouncing between like 65-75k in the same way. It's also apparantly sold out, but I dont think it's in as high demand as DS. Somebody commented that Wii's are selling closer to retail price in Japan now, which indicates some minor lessening of demand.

Crackdown making it onto the list is a nice performance for that title.

Gundam Musou launches today/tomorrow in Japan; it'll be interesting to see how it does.

Capcom is really hitting its stride these days. Those are some awesome numbers for a PSP games in Japan. Especially this month, such a huge sales difference to the number 2, a factor 9 nearly.

Probably the same as most non-handheld titles, one week on top (or in the top 30) and then bye-bye.

You might be right, but Koei is openly targeting big sales for the game during its life, and it's the most pre-ordered PS3 game to date in Japan. Maybe it will only last one week, but it's how it does in that one week that interests me. :)

But does the most pre-ordered ps3 games to date relate to numbers? VF5 probably was the last most pre-ordered ps3 game and that only sold 70k or so in the first week. And dont these anime games almost always sell good in the first week (or 2) because all the fans buy it but after that there is no one left wanting the game?

Word from Sinobi (1st day leaked sales data) is that Gundam Musou sold pretty well, but didn't move much hardware.

A lot of people can cough up $250, but anything from $500 upwards makes people swallow rather hard at least a couple of times.

However, very, very few people will buy an item for $250 that they did not plan to buy when they entered the store unless they run into an exceptional salesman. $250 is high enough that most people will have to budget for it and aren't going to buy it just because the box catches their eye on the way to the underwear aisle. But it's low enough that people who don't make video gaming the center of their lives will consider it, i.e. "mainstream."
