Japan Lining Up For... Blue Dragon

Don't you have a 360? Or am I mistaking you with Guden? Hrmm.

Well i obviously don't!! :D I'm the one who was waiting to see what jp games the 360 would get, and isn't happy that his favourite games are exclusive to PS3 - cause i would live much better without one. :devilish:

How is your FF12 progressing BTW? :devilish:

I'm a bit busy these days, so haven't played it a lot, but let me just say that i'm not losing any sleep over it... Was a bit boring the last couple of times i played it...

That's why i'm not too worried about FF on 360, it's the subsequent mass of games that would follow that interest me a bit more :D

Next Year when LO comes out not only will it face competition from FFXIII but by then Sony will have solved their production problem with the PS3. Even if LO gets all 10s I doubt there is any way for it to have as much of an impact as Blue Dragon might. The game is their best chance to make an impact in Japan. LO will likely be an awesome game that will push units in the 10 thousand range and will keep people who bought the 360 for Blue Dragon happy but it probably won't put a dent in PS3 sales.

I must say I didn't even notice BD DVD in her hand, all I did was to appreciate her beauty. j/k :devilish:

Lets see how BD sells, I would be surprised if it is in top 10 Games List (in Japan). They buy only DQ, Pokemon, FF, GT, Mario, Baseball and Football games (many times I have been surprised how less games like MGS/AC/Tekken/SC/VF etc get sold there)...can it make a dent in Japanese RPG market.

If DOAX2 can make it into the top 10 list I think this game can as well. Then again would they even count bundles in number of games sold.

they do, and its the main reason why Grand Turismo 3 is the best selling PS2 game, simply because in europe, PS2's came bundled with GT3 for a long while.

I don't remember such a bundle...Even if there was which I don't doubt it's still hardly the main reason for it, and it's GRAN Turismo!! Gran Turismo 3 was at it's time a true masterpiece both in techical and in gameplay fronts and people like that.

I dont know how much of an impact this will have in the end but i think its the best that MS couldve hoped for.

Also, now that we're here, it seems those 'most wanted' lists that had been posted with BD in them may have been valid after all.

I agree that gran turismo is a masterpiece, however the sales numbers are less than 0,5 million in GT3s favor vs GTA:SA.

The bundle made the difference. ;)

I understood your previous post as you were making a point that GT3's stellar sales was achieved mainly, because it was bundled... It's hard to say how much the bundle actually helped the sales.

Rate of PS2s sold alone before GT3 bundle versus rate of GT3 bundles sold?
Also compare PS2s sold during lifetime of GTA: SA.

I so want to live/visit (in) Japan for a while.

The contrast between all the bright lights and colors and the metal utilitarian structures that I see in all the pictures of the malls/shopping areas just look like the coolest thing in the world.
