no links for now.

Do you know how it's (eDram) distributed ?

Offhand, I assume they replaced the 8MB eDRAM Main Memory with the current 32MB (of whatever type it is), and left the two 2MB eDRAM pools (in the Media Engine and "PSP Graphics Core 2") alone.

At least the "30MB total RAM" rumors were wrong... I never could work out a proper mental distribution from that number. :p

The conference is very cool so far ... my gosh, the PSP looks even better now. The screen seems to be huge

hmm... disappointment or for the best? Probably for the best and it will make porting easier, but I thought the large amount of edram was pretty cool.

Heh, when do we get the first pictures from the inside? :D

I've already posted them on the other topic.

2.5h to 10h battery life ? Did I hear that right ?

Also it seems to be 32 MB main memory and 4 MB VRAM. No mentioned of the other 2 MB of RAM.

I think it's 4MB VRAM, not eDRAM.

But that system looks sweet, plus it plays movies..and has wireless connectivity...I wonder if it'll come with a built in browser..or...or..

Speng.

That's a pretty big spread, there. How do you think that works out? Maybe 2.5 hrs for backlit screen playing a UMD movie, and 10 hrs playing a non-backlit game via the memory stick?

Here's what i know it's 2,5H for Movies (UMD constantly rotating), ~10H for gaming (UMD rotating only for Loading) and 7,5H for Music playback (Atrac3... :? )

Anyone know the resolution of the screen?

Is the battery user-replaceable? Probably 10 hours with Wifi off?

Are the games all going to be 16:9 or is that for movies mostly? Would be good for developers to think in terms of 16:9 from now on for next-gen support.

The two things that are kind of bummers are that apparently all the games were shown as videos or in a PD SDK simulator, according to Gamespot. So the hardware isn't quite ready?

Of course, no price was announced. Maybe they're waiting to see what Nintendo does or seeing what component prices look like 6 months from now?

looking at the pics, what happened to analogue controls? i hope they haven't gone for an 'analogue' d-pad...

I was just going to ask about the pad... I hope that's not final, as I'd really like something more proper for... uh... analog-ness.
