*claps for Jaffe*
Thanks
Thanks
Jane: You think their afraid?
Dave: I think their bringing diapers to the show. I think they're... you know...
You can compare David Jaffe with 12 year old "ph@n80ys" (I hope that makes it through the filter) when 12 year olds deliver one of the more important games of the last 5 years.Platon said:Jesus, did he really say that? Diapers? Common, really, that kind of think you would harldy expect some 12 year old ****** on an internet forum to say. I would have expected from, I assume, a highly educated game dev a bit more sophisticated trashtalking and not kindregarden level remarks ...
Programmers, game developers... they're like the ultimate nerds, do you really expect a nerd to have highly sophisticated communication skills and well developed mannersPlaton said:Jesus, did he really say that? jpr27 said:This is why IMO we have games that are rushed, are becoming less groundbreaking (more clones), and mostly built on hype. I for one DO care about what a company promises or "advertises" (and I have held off on buying a console due to it) and make sure to remind them when they dont deliver. We need to hold MS, Sony, Nintendo or whoever accountable for what they are promising to produce. Again IMO all the companies mentioned above are only becoming worse and we as consumers let them off to easily for their "misleading" statements about games or hardware etc. For example: I have always felt that if a developer or console maker chooses to use CGI trailers then by all means use them. Just dont refer or insinuate they are in game play due to using the game engine etc. (which we all know can be argued in number of different ways). I'm sure I am in the minority of this thinking (and holding a grudge ) but I can tell you that if many more people protested to which ever console maker or developer (from words to their hard earned $$) then these companies might be more forthcoming (well a little more ).
Then again in this day in age I really dont see that happening.
Sorry for the Babble just back from Gal-Bladder surgery

Its smack talk from an intelligent man, far above that of which a 12year old brat could achieve.Shompola said:Doesnt change the fact that he talks like a 12 year old brat. I have seen a lot of people act like total asses especially in the universities and some of them had phds etc. but couldnt communicate properly and were very hostile. Having a PHD or in this case being a game designer does not give you a free pass to act very immaturely.

The HDDVD demo surprised me. I didn't expect it so soon (assuming they showed working hardware)...
Qroach said:I was curious about this too. imagine if they HD-DVD addon came with an extra large hard drive for music downloads, High def movie downloads, and general media server- ish features? that would be pretty cool...

Jaffe is seperate from KK/Allard/Moore (etc.) because when he says shit he doesn't sound like a corporate shill (although he almost certainly is).
