Internet throttled to 64k by ISP - Help

Well I was just about to download the Killzone 2 demo, when I hit my download cap (only 12GB and it includes uploads as well, and costs $70 a month), which slows me down to 64k download speeds.

Anyone know of a way to bypass the cap? Or at least get slightly more reasonable speeds like 128k or 256k?

Tell my parents that, the contract is yet to expire, and the internet is bundled with out home & cell phones etc.

Surely there must be some way around it? Hack/exploit etc.

You could always try carting your PS3 and a LCD TV to a internet cafe that allows you to hook up your own machine. :D

Maybe ask the neighbors or a friend if you can use their internet. :p

SB

Lol, that's not quite viable. You can't save demo's to a usb and install them on your PS3 can you?

You're on Telstra Bigpond aren't you?

I was on the 12Gb plan, but I've now switched to the 25Gb plan which is loads better. I'm pretty sure if you're still in contract that you can change your usage plan when you log into the Bigpond site.

ISPs throttle by username at login so the only ways to 'get around' speed limiting are:
Use a different username.
Change plan to get more data/change ISP/get a data topup
Wait for your data anniversary.
