inFAMOUS Second Son [PS4]

You don't say... :oops::cool::LOL:
You have a 85% probability of conduitism, Electrical type.
Although we can’t determine the precise composition of your genetic makeup without the benefit of a full medical screening, your test results have yielded some fascinating results.

Conduits with electrical powers may develop the ability to draw electric energy from their surroundings, control, manipulate and focus that energy. Cole MacGrath, one of the most powerful and heroic conduits the world has ever known, was an Electrical Conduit. The energy storage and amplification abilities have enormous potential for clean energy research.

I really liked it. I didn't love it, though. Felt really short too. I'm usually all for a game that doesn't overstay its welcome, but Second Son really seemed like it couldn't wait to get its flimsy plot over with. Lots of redundancies with the powers as well, and despite their rather ridiculous nature, they all felt a little boiler plate in terms of execution. I missed zapping a puddle with lightning, executing everyone unlucky enough to stand in it for example.
I also encountered an annoying bug: one of the stupid shards is somehow missing in my game. Well, at least it's not showing on the map. I'm hoping they get rid of the stupid karma system in case they'll make another game too. It's all a little too black and white for my tastes, and the evil or downright monstrous route really doesn't suit Delsin as character.
For what it's worth, the game certainly is one hell of a sight to behold.

Still, if I had to recommend a PS4-only game to someone I'd still pick Shadow Fall: more varied, more substantial, more tactical, and surprsingly enough more interesting in terms of story too. (and the standard issue Shadow Marshall gun is more satisfying to use than any of Infamous' power sets too) But that's probably just me and my weird-ass taste in games.

Back to Dark Souls 2.

What is next-generation of gameplay? Can you give a descriptive opinion or view how these new mechanics should work?

Because everything so far from the previous generation, is still being used, just with nicer assets. Between XB1 and PS4, there is nothing wowing me in that department, or screams next-gen gameplay.
Consider your chain well and truly yanked.

Did you complete all the side missions? Some of the icons obscure the drone tracker blips. If you scroll around the map you can see how many drones/side missions are left to do in each area.

I imagine the time of day choices are limited to those of the missions. It's a shame that the engine doesn't allow for dynamic times.

I wouldn't see why, since the weather pattern changes in a dynamic elapsed time... scripted on doing so yes, but it's dynamic no less.

I agree with pretty much all of this. I don't think the story was a patch on the first two games, feeling quite rushed and was just getting from here-to-here, and the game felt much shorter to complete.

Although I liked the powers in this game, I think if they do another, I'd like a far more freeform type of power upgrading. I.e. give me the choice of how my powers develop rather them being tired to good/evil actions or plot decisions. Thinking of how this might work I recall how talent trees in World of Warcraft work (or worked when I last played) and I think perhaps a tree for enhancing defence abilities (able to take/deflect more damage), a tree for enhancing dispensing more damage and a tree for utility/traversal/crowd control powers. And don't let me max out all the trees in one play through - give me enough talent points to, at best, max one tree with a few spent in the other trees.

Very happy about the patch too, especially the time of day option for completed games :)

It's beyond ridiculous that a game released in 2014 that takes place in the PNW would have an entire mission type dedicated to the apparent evils of a substance that is legal in the state. Beyond lazy writing in this game. Would not be the least surprised to see nazi zombie DLC released for it.

Huh? So, like, alcoholism isn't a reasonable theme for a mission because it's a legal substance with apparent evils? :???:

You realise this is a comic book game set in an alternate universe, right? The clue is the heavy military presence, DNA screening of people moving around and, oh yeah, the existence of people with who can blast smoke from their hands
