inFAMOUS Second Son [PS4]

I wished it simply let me choose how to develop the character regardless of my actions. All problems solved right there.

You mean you want to be able to kill loads of civilians but still be a hero? Or you would rather just chose this path-of-powers (red/blue etc) with that being disconnected from actual good/bad actions?

This exactly. It's why I never bother exploring moral choices in games like Mass Effect for example. The best power-ups are always locked away behind the Renegade and Paragon decisions. I think it's completely at odds with the concept of role playing. The Witcher 2 and Dragon Age did it right. When rewards are tied to your decisions it isn't really about morals anymore anyway.

Game Reactor and Golem.de are reporting that the game has the "smooth" feeling of 60fps game. They offered no measurements, just the fact that game feels that is running faster than 30fps.

I've still not played any of the Mass Effect games  but I have no problem with, within some consistent logical boundaries, different power beings being player choice - perhaps using unlockable skill trees common to RPGs - rather than determined by a moral compass.

I only played through good and evil really only because I wanted to experience all the powers and given the choice, in both play throughs I would have chosen the evil splinter grenades over the good arc-restraint grenades every time.

Perhaps Second Son will be more freeform with the different branches of powers (smoke/neon seen so far), not that we've seen much of either power. I can't recall seeing the equivalent of grenades or blasts or sniper shots.

probably an unlocked frame rate + triple buffers. honestly I wont mind when dev take this approve unless precision is a priority like fps.

The recent video has the equivalent of arc restraint grenade. The non lethal neon playthrough has a bubble which traps enemies inside n makes them float.
I wish SP would show a boss fight now that we are so close to launch.

Oh lol. I couldn't really tell what the hell was going on!!

We've actually seen very little, considering how close we are to launch...

^A fact I really like. It's the anti-Ubisoft method of marketing.

Too bad the game doesn't come out a couple o' weeks earlier (or later). March is - once again - way too packed, and don't think I wanna miss out on the pioneering spirit that comes with playing Dark Souls 2 on day 1. Southpark looks splendid as well.

There's even an embargo on some super duper special move Delsin does at the end of the demo journalists played. That's pretty tight control. Hopefully it's for the best.

My main problem is that my bday is the 19th march and I will need a lot of self control not to buy a ps4 and infamous right there and then. My bank will actually call me up just to laugh at me.

I prefer only having tidbits to go on. I like having my appetite wetted and my anticipation built but want to experience the game fresh when I play it. I think they've marketing all three inFamous games well from my point of view. Rockstar do likewise with GTA. It always looks like they're showing tons but they barely scratch the surface of what their games contain.

Five weeks to go and I'll definitely try to get to one of GAME's UK previews in a couple of weeks :)

inFamous: Second Son will require a 24GB install

Eurogamer are reporting that PlayStation France have revealed the game's cover art that shows Second Son will require 24Gb HDD for install - for those that care.

That puts it digital purchase size territory for me - I still have around 820Gb left :)

Very nice :) The city looks great at night and the weather effects are nice, but subtle.

Liking the neon hand/sword weapon too!
