Importing a PS3

I am going to buy a PS3 soonish. But I am thinking of importing it from Germany to Sweden, which will save me a bit on the PS3, a bit on the games, controller etc... say an 1/8th of the cost.

Can I set it to Swedish region and remove all traces of the PS3 being bought in Germany?

Will Sony Sweden honor the warranty or will I have to send it back to Germany if anything happens?

Will the games bought in Germany have English language as an option?

Anything else I need to think about?

You don't have to worry about anything you buy in Europe at all. It will all work and all support all European languages. The only importing things that actually matter are when you import from outside of Europe, which does not apply to you.

If you want to save money on the games, online is usually cheaper, especially if you buy more than one game at a time. www.play.com is sometimes very cheap, because it often has free delivery to boot (though games sometimes take a while to get there). But you can also import games from hong-kong (like www.renchi.com) and those will be even cheaper, as games are region free all over the world (though don't always support all languages, but most do).

The only thing you may want to think about is which version you want to buy. It will be hard to find a 60GB version, but if you want one and Europe is your shopping mall, then you may be able to. ;)
