Image Quality and Framebuffer Speculations for WIP/alpha/beta/E3 games *Read the first post*

Twenty-seven off-topic posts removed. I'm not going to bother reiterating the points of the OP or purpose of this thread any more as it's plain as day and has been repeated several times for the same offenders to ignore. If you can't distinguish between framebuffer/IQ analysis, and opinions on whether things look nice, what the studios are like, how the PC compares, yadayada, you don't belong in the Tech Forum. All subsequent OT posts will be met with reprimands.

Set the screen of the dlc to 1024x640p & see it. ;)

what the hell is the point of that? are you saying the ps3 version is supersampled? the render resolution is 1920x1200 its obvious its 1:1 pixel. take a look at the pics of the pc version that shot has more in common than the other builds its fairly obvious its the pc version with ps3 buttons overlays. it really has so little in common with the ps3 version for the game to have radically changed that much over the demo build is a pipe dream.

I think I'm free to have a different opinion no? However videogameplay about exclusive dlc on the ps3:

The grass it isn't even here, but I'm worried more about the completely lack of clothes physic and blood too ... the ps3 really have a lot of cut for now...

I noticed id Software's Brian Harris posted on Teh Shack that Rage is running at 720p on the consoles when the question came up. I don't think we have a definitive console screenshot though.

Anyone look into HAWX2 demo yet? I'm curious if they did the crappy blur on PS3 again on this one, or maybe they used something smarter that could be incorporated in a day (for some games at least)? :)

well the biggest change is the framerate has been dropped to 30fps.

Compression is wunderbar.

That's a pretty big leap for just a singular feature on one platform. They could have capped the framerate for any number of reasons.

I meant it'd make it easier for them to add it compared to a 60 fps game, not that it's any kind of indicator. I'm also not too impressed with Ubisoft Montreal's capabilities.
