Is it just me or am I spotting MLAA in the latest inFAMOUS 2 trailer?

nah

i downloaded the 3D E3 video on PSN. apparently Motorstorm apocalypse is full 720p in 3D and stable framerate on this demo. it's much better than pacific 3D demo
maybe 1080p in 2D mode?

studio liverpool was suppose to be merged with Evolution Studio, but then says to be shut down by SCEE, maybe they did merged or some of the staffs got hired by Evolution and they teach them how 1080p is done like wipeout :D

motorstorm in general has alot more going for it then wipeout. It would be impossible to run motorstorm at 60fps 1080p like wipeout without drastic cutbacks.

Yes. Sony has said 1080p isn't guaranted for the 3D time ago...

Based on the screens released few months ago it is.

A quick playthrough doesn't lead me to believe that's changed either, it definitely looks quite low resolution/blurry. Everything else released on the 360 that has used this engine has been subHD, so it shouldn't be surprising. 2xmsaa still looks to be there at least.

I played the inFAMOUS 2 demo at GamesCom yesterday. It had 0xAA, lots of low resolution explosions and the framerate often dipped below 30 fps. But there's enough time for optimization until the game comes out.

I also checked out LBP2 which looked pretty clean with the new MLAA applied, but to my surprise it also had a pretty wonky framerate which was a bit disappointing.

called both of those for infamous 2 ;)

the first LBP was capped at 30fps. when you mention wonky framerate did you get a sense as if they turn off the frame limiter for LBP2 something like that could cause severe visual inconsistency in framerate because of such a large range. But then again it could simply be a more taxing render since i heard they improved their lighting, shadow, AA, and ambient occlusion.

The low buffers is a pretty common technic used, especially on the ps3, but even 360 not refuse its use; it save a lot of buffer for the other things.. But not forced for bad explotions ... sure, high buffers its another story but there is a lot of example with excellent 'samples' how Just Cause 2... or even Red Faction on the ps3, it's very hard notice the difference with the 360 version, except for the particles in the long distance... it depend more how to draw those explotions at the end. About fps I'm not worried, even for LBP 2, I guess just depending of the preview build.

Does Anyone know what's the framebuffer format of Gran Turismo 5? Does it still use 4X MSAA (or worse/better??) in latest version? Thanks.
