so is that SMAA? Doesn't look like its doing a very good job at all. Overall looks pretty bad imo but theres only so much these 7 years old hardware can do.

Compared to PCs naturally, I actually think it's doing a much better job over the temporal AA that was used in crysis 2, in which case it did nothing until there was no action. Crysis 2 was an eye sore in motion.

As a PC gamer this type of AA would rank in the few of my choices. though on the other hand, as a console gamer where i'm at least 7 feet away; i would go for something less shimmering any day.

Is it just me or both console versions of Crysis 3 looked about the same resolution?

Yeah it seems so to me too. Great, if true.
I revise my statement. ps3 version seems higher to the previous version of the game on the same console but still a bit lower to the lately 360 version. The colour palette it's too much brighter to be the same res.

the shots i got were supposedly labeled as 360 shots, but now that you mention it there's no button indication to suggest from either version. :???:

Looks close enough. :) Haven't had much time to look for the right edges. Real-Life etc etc.

Mmm, I'm not that sure... sometimes ps3 version edges appears more rough, maybe dynamic res this time?

Judging by those screens, they look much closer than before. Were the other comparisons floating around using different captures?

:) just cuz the heat in Perth is keeping up right now... XD

    hm...

    From the PS3 gallery:

I guess the only thing that's changed is the post-processing (mentioned by the developer to be SMAA T2x), although I think only the one shot from LoT managed to show the temporal AA ghost, which may indicate just how good the algorithm is at eliminating it if all the screens so far are an indication. *shrug* I haven't quite seen the usual temporal 2xAA shade (MGS4/Reach).

The texture res differences in their comparison are curious. Did C2 have texture streaming issues? I can't remember the face-offs (+don't have the game).

Oh didn't know you were from Perth :), Melbourne is actually quite cool here.

So I guess somehow the SMAA is keeping things looking much closer then, I also recall Crysis 2 had some texture streaming issue just before release on 360's version so hopefully things would get sorted in the end. DF's faceoff would be interesting to see to say the least.

Haven't played Crysis 3 beta, but it doesn't look too hot. Obviously, SP will be night/day difference (probably frame rate too).
