I used to work with one of her friends (who was quite a nice girl) and the two were almost welded to the phone most days.

On my first encounter not knowing who was on the line I foolishly asked for her name, which was promptly (literally) shouted back with foul indignation, each sylable enunciated with regal overbearing. This pretty much set the tone, always dismissive, contemptuous, arrogant, terse and just plain rude.

I pity those who actually worked with (for...) her.
