PCI-X Graphics cards hit the shelf?? I see PCI-X Mobo's getting released.

I see it looks alot like the old ISA Slots size wise but with a throughput of 2.5 Gigs/sec it should be better than AGP 8x. So will ATI and Nvidia or any other Graphics card maker be releasing PCI-X Graphics cards?

Haven't heard anything about any PCI-X graphics cards in either planning or production. As it looks right now, the preferred successor for AGP will be "PCI Express", which is something different from PCI-X.

Ahh ok . .I thought PCI-Express was PCI-X .. i see now it ain't although i knew about PCI-X 2.0 which should be kick ass.

So when will we see PCI-Express/PCI-X 2.0 coming into service and will ATI(OpenGL Guy) and Nvidia be supporting the technologies?? And by what time frame will we get to see it??

I thought PCI-X was primarily for servers, while PCI Express is primarily for the desktop?
