HD Next gen ownership poll

PS3 and the 360 != HD either as you have to use a HDTV to play at HD resolutions.

i don't see how that makes them not HD. they are HD capable. would that make you happy?
thats like saying HDTV's != HD because you need HD content.

Since a number of posters have admitted of not even owning a HDTV I don't see how "HD" has any relevancy as you just have PS3 vs. 360 ownership poll.

i don't know where you read that, but i'm willing to bet well over 50% of ps3/360 owners own an HDTV.

You may not like the poll, but it does exactly what the OP wanted. If gave him feedback on who owns what HD capable consoles. As they haven't tried to extrapolate any deeper meanings on console ownership, the fact the poll chooses to ignore Wi doesn't matter - that's info the OP doesn't care to know.

For those that want to know next-gen ownersip regardless of output/rendering capabilities, rather than complain that this poll doesn't do that, make a poll that does!

So make your own poll and include all the other SD consoles; PS1/2, Dreamcast, GC, Xbox, etc. Go nuts.
