Wow, Destiny revealed. That new engine killed them.

Four sources pointed to Destiny’s technology—the tools they use to design levels, render graphics, and create content—as an inhibiting factor in the game’s development.

“Let’s say a designer wants to go in and move a resource node two inches,” said one person familiar with the engine. “They go into the editor. First they have to load their map overnight. It takes eight hours to input their map overnight. They get [into the office] in the morning. If their importer didn’t fail, they open the map. It takes about 20 minutes to open. They go in and they move that node two feet. And then they’d do a 15-20 minute compile. Just to do a half-second change.”

Explains a lot. Also might explain why 343i did not want to toss away Halo engine even when moving to 5. When the focus is on content, you can't be dealing with bad tools. Would explain why many guys in here feel it's 'last gen', even though to me it looks as good as Destiny, but not at the level it's expected to be at.

I don't see why not. I've played with a few other friends of B3D in the past (although towards the end of the last gen, they might have regretted me joining parties over the MIC due to some I-don't-even-remember juice).

Actually, I'm not sure what sort of control options the members have (if any). I just accepted @dobwal so I assume I have to handle membership things as creator.

I may be MIA for a while as far as the game goes, but I guess we'll see what Black Friday has in store (was thinking of picking up a WiiU >_> ).
