Definitely, the latest gameplay leaked footage was really rough. Empty world with no interesting elements of traversial and band gameplay.
I hope they will kind of revamp the fighting mechanic to allow more hand-to-hand moves and combinations with the powers and abilities.
So far what I' ve seen looked more like a shooter with the powers. and seemt kind of boring.
Yep. And SquareEnix has had a string of failures recently, the latest being Babylon's Fall... so they need to make sure that what they put out there is in as good of shape as possible.
Hopefully they're able to do more with it, and that there's more there than what they've shown off recently.

Im still curious whether the "isekai" story will plays important part in the game and story. Or it will fall to the "isekai" trope of most "isekai" light novel. Where its used for nothing other than to increase the "hero is relevant to the player" psychological manipulation.

5 years ago, I'd have guessed it's the art team's learning curve with a PBR pipeline. But at this point in time, is that still novel? At a AAA Square Enix team? Go figure...
