Those environments are extremely similar to those in Resident Evil 2, which is great!

Why do some people assume anything without a HUD isn't gameplay? I saw the old PS2 X-Files game last night and there was no HUD there. Some games have the option to disable all HUD content too to get an unobstructed view.

As for whether they look nice or not, they're smeary, smudgy, low-res, highly compressed, totally unbalanced images. No sense of what the real game looks like can be derived from a compressed quarter-res jpg of a scan of a magazine print!

Yeah, especially considering this game is being made by the company who made Chronicles of Riddick which while a great game, wouldn't have been nearly as immersive if they decided to have a HUD. Even the number of bullets you have are shown on an LED on you gun.

StarBreeze is one of the best developers out there. This game should have great gameplay and will look great period.

The game looks brutal...


In one screenshot (in opm) they have one of those monsters sawing some guys head off with a huge saw, blood everywhere. It should be quite an experience with the game rigged upto to a decent sound system, the game sounds ace to from reading the preview, I'm looking forward to seeing and hearing more of this title.
