Few PS2(USB) related questions...

1. Does any ordinary USB headphone work with PS2 or only ones which you get with game bundles?

2. And does this headphone work with any game (I dont want to disturb others)?

I read Eyetoy reveiw on firingsquad and interestingly found out that it is a Logitech product....they make other PS2 accessories as well like the GT3/4 wheel....headphones.....

I know 1 thing and that is that a regular pcwebcam doesn't work for eyetoy (even a logitech one)

i guess a usb headphone would work but that's just a guess

Any USB Headphone+Microphone should work, but it does not work with every game.

I don't think any USB audio device will ever work unless the game explicitly support it.

Sony announced they will release a new PS2 USB Headset in the 2nd quarter, manufactured by Logitech. The new headset will feature online chat and voice recognition functions. In addition, it will come with a volume control and mute switch, and able to absorb background noises.

Bah, the USB one I bought from Logitech ( it was not the official Sony one, but the one Logitech sold for PlayStation 2 ) also has Noise Suppression.

How would the new USB Headset have Speech Recognition and the older one would not ? That is something that gets done by the PlayStation 2 in Software.
