F1 2004 - Let the race begin :D

Great tactical race from MS, good show from Alonso but my man of race was Barrichello, what a race from 10 to 3 and icing on the cake at the last corner, Trulli must be devastated. Button and Trulli are running close in Driver's championship so Trulli lost crucial points.

I think it's already a legend: something like "Someone who stalled in the last lap when leading the race." Now it's "Someone who was overtaken in the last two turns" :)

Anyway, this makes the position of Barrichello safer.. now he has a 20 point lead over Button.

Mika Hekkinen in Spanish GP.... :)

I'm going with AMD for the qualifying. There should be some pretty good AMD/Ferrari hospitality laid on, as well as a tour of the paddock and pitlane! :)

If you wanna know the types of stuff AMD do with Ferrari, check this out.

*Wonders if there's an integrated DVD player on F1 cars*

A London Gran Prix would TOTALLY ABSOLUTELY FEAKING ROCK! Would disrupt the city for at least 2 weeks, which is something we really do not need, but GOD IT WOULD BE TOTALLY COOL!

Well, I only did the saturday session, but it was very good.

We were in the "Paddock Club" which is an area set aside by the circuit that the teams can purchase marquees for and then invite sponcors and others into - it also has its own grandstand on the short straight just before Priory, so you can see most of that little complex.

The "Paddock Club" has a pit lane walk, however AMD got passes for us to quickly get into the Ferrari garage and later we went back to speak to Ferrari's head of electronics in charge of all the race systems etc., so we had a good chance to look round the paddock at all the motorhomes (including McLaren's spaceship!!).

Latest F1 News

Mark Webber's off to Grove, and Giancarlo Fisichella's coming home to Enstone.

That's the latest word in Motorsport News as a report claims Jaguar's Webber will let Williams' 2005 cat out of the bag right after the German Grand Prix.

The Australian has a management contract with Renault chief Flavio Briatore.

It's thought the only way the Italian would let Mark slide to the BMW-powered ranks was if he could slot a top-ace into the seat alongside Fernando Alonso.

Cue Giancarlo Fisichella, who steered a Renault (nee Benetton) until 2001.

Jarno Trulli, as a result, will accept a big-money offer to be Ralf Schumacher's Toyota team-mate and David Coulthard is leaving McLaren for a job at the 'Cat.

BAR's 'Friday' tester Anthony Davidson is thought favourite to fill Roman Fisichella's Sauber boots and Nick Heidfeld is well-placed to drive a Williams.

I thought the race was fantastic. Pity about Kimi, but what are you going to do? The fights for 2nd and 3rd were great, even more stuff down the field with Webber, Trulli, Sato, Montoya... Great stuff, if Kimi hadn't crashed out it could've been The Race of the Year(tm), IMHO.
