Experience with recovering a synology drive?

Don't think that has much do to with it being a "NAS" drive or not.

All I'm pointing out is that companies don't necessarily consider drive noise with NAS drives as much as desktop versions due to their intended purpose.

I'm not sure I agree. These drives are sold to normal consumers and I'm sure the normal red's aren't considered enterprise level so these drives showing up in places where people are around them would be the rule rather than the exception I think.

Anyway it is what it is.
