Elden Ring [2022-21-01] [PS, XB, PC]

mostly interested in the unlocked framerate, but the thing is that having those mods early is really a good thing, taking into account that the original Dark Souls games have excellent mods, one of them was launched quite recently. I just meet the minimum requirements (GTX 1060 3GB) so we shall see.

The game has exceeded 765000 concurrent players in its first day on Steam, btw

The platform with the largest user-base gets the least treathment. I have not tried the game yet, will probably after some months when things hopefully are ironed out abit.

I am completely hooked lol.
Getting dangerously close to addicted and I need to focus as we suddenly opted to do a Disney trip in the next 3 months.

Same. I'm having a very difficult time thinking of any game coming out this year that can give Elden Ring a serious challenge for Game of the Year for me. Usually, I hate to say something like that with a title at the start of the year, but my god this game is so good. And for me, there is no currently announced game coming out this year that could have even a small chance of giving this a run for the money for GOTY ... for me. Key point there for other people reading this. :)

Hell this game is generational good, IMO. It's quite possible that this might end up being the game of this generation for me. I'm absolutely gobsmacked at how much content there is in the game and how polished it is (technical issues notwithstanding).

It's got as much content in it as ALL previous Souls games (including Bloodborne) combined and more and yet so far it hasn't started to feel "samey". There's a Souls game speedrunner that has held the WR in speedruns for all previous souls games at one point or another that is absolutely astounded and amazed with how good the game is and can't believe how much content there is in the game.

Damn you really sold this game for me Silent_Buddha. I was thinking to wait for patch but screw it I am getting this now

Dark Souls muscle memory is helping out a lot, unlike Bloodborne and Sekiro where it was almost a disadvantage

I’ve played almost 15 hours so far and fought some amazing bosses, the world really feels massive but at the same time full of meaningful content.

This is how I like my games. This is why I love FS games

Hopefully you either already like Souls games or you'll grow to like it. It is most definitely not a genre for everyone. So, I hope you don't end up regretting it. :)

I keep trying to like it and keep rage quitting. I don't think this is my genre. :yep2:

Yeah, this game is most definitely not for everyone. But you can say that about any game on the market. :)

I generally recommend for people to watch some people play it first and then think really hard about whether or not this might be a game they might like. Main reason is that if you don't like it and don't have the aptitude, patience, or natural reflexes (age, disability, etc.) to overcome punishingly tough enemies, then it's just going to be endless frustration.

However, if you are capable of those things, then the game can give you an endorphin rush that is almost unmatched among games made today.

The risk vs. reward is extremely high for Souls games.

SB
