E3 - Predict the game of the show

GotS will be either Halo2 or Half-Life2. Probably the latter (as awesome as Halo was and Halo2 is looking, its going to be tough to compete with a 5-year-in-the-making-sequel-to-an-8-million-selling-title widely hailed as the pinnacle of its genre). Doom3 has an outside shot.

What if neither Halo2 or HL2 are playable?

I cant wait to see DOOM3. Show us a Cyberdemon damnit!

Doom III will be really polished, interms of graphics, sounds, levels, physics and so on. No clue what hl is going to be like, but depending on who's making the decisions, from a graphics prespective HL2 is the weakest, but it might make up for it in the art/final look department. Halo 2 might be considered as a Doom III rip off and many might brush it off, whether that's appropriate, well that's debatable, but we're just talking about largely uninformed opinions.

Saem I can't see people mixing up HL2 and DOOM III.

Reading the latest PC Zone it seems to me that HL2 is just about finished.

I never said they'd get mixed up. Regardless, I think the high res textures and pretty high poly count might get quite a few people to vote for it. Doom III has the crowd who loves lighting/shadowing (the technical people mainly), I think it'll definately be scarier. Gameplay, well I don't think many people know what's going to happen there.
