Both good and bad !
That's how I feel too. Sad there's no raid, but OTOH this horde mode type thing will likely be tons of fun as horde modes usually are. And you can argue a paradigm changing new game mode is actually more relevant than "just" another new raid. A lot will depend on how it's implemented. Certainly they appear to be sharing a lot more info in the run up this time than I recall for TDB as we get events practically weekly, which is good cause tons of questions...
Upgrading legendaries, that's a big mixed feelings too. On one hand I like it, on the other I understand it brings up the problem of weapon stagnation. Are Fatebringer and Gjallahorn going to just be the best weapons forever? Because you cant just keep making better weapons to replace them or you alter the very core PVE balance (eg, if you make a rocket launcher better than Gjallahorn).
I wonder if it will be some difficult process, some high bar you have to clear, to upgrade your legendaries? And what that could possibly be? So much details need to be reveled...
Well i HAVE been running VoG lately coincidentally, and looks like my work wont be going for naught now! Although so far the only thing I have kept out of all my drops is a second vision....might keep a 2nd corrective now too, and of course any fatebringer or epilogues I get which is what I've been searching for anyway.
Arena was shown as "raid" labelled in leaks. Maybe they repurpose it and then makes new raid.
ah! so thats why it take them sooooooo long to release HoW although all maps for the mission already on the disc since beta. They working to make HoW have new experience in the Arena and to make most awesome Raid ever
Yup, I've known the new "Raid" was called "The Arena" for ages. Didn't realize the full implications of that, thought it was just a name for a traditional raid.
Some people seem to think there is still a raid associated with HoW it's just been pushed back. I suppose that's possible but i doubt it very strongly. How would they handle 34 gear then? We wont see another raid until Comet. Which too be fair is not that far away with a September release date.
Personally I doubt Bungie can work too much on any content coming out in next six months, video game content has such long lead times. I expect at least half the studio is on Destiny 2, and probably less than half is still polishing Comet (rest are doing maintenance on live game). So that just doesn't leave many people, and I bet HoW has been basically in the can for months. So this narrative of "Bungie knows they disappointed with TDB so undoubtedly they are creating tons of content for HoW right now!" probably just isn't physically possible imo. They may well be trying hard to please people with more content, I'm just saying I expect it was too late for House of Wolves even 6 months ago. Not that I necessarily expect HoW to suck either, just that whatever it was, was probably already in the can 6 months ago and couldn't have been changed.
