I thought about doing stuff like that, to "prepare" for DB, but I'm not really that arsed with it. The difference will be 100 marks or so with the cap (meaning I have say 83 marks on one character currently, because I've been buying a lot of resources, with the weekly cap the most I could store is perhaps 70 more since I've already gotten ~30 this week, so it's just not that big a deal). I'm not concerned. Same with glimmer. But yeah I probably will cap up my glimmer and such a bit since there's not much else to do. I'm at only 13k glimmer, I guess because I've been upgrading so much.
One idea that seems kind of worth it is if you're close to a faction rep border, hold off on it until next week, you would presumably get a commendation for it next week.
Apparently the best glimmer farm method is the beginning of the exclusion zone on heroic. The spot to cheese cabal majors bounty. Pop the resupply codes there and farm it.
Oh another thing I hadn't though of that I'm gonna do is buy at least a few more exotic shards from Xur. Just so that I dont have to wait for Xur next time I have an exotic ready to finish off. Granted I doubt I'll have one leveled between next Tuesday and next Thursday. It'll be a good idea in general.
I feel like my strange coins could get limited fast now that I can only get 18 per week. Oh well, that's what I wanted!
An interesting thing is there will be a new strike playlist with DLC. "Dragon" strike playlist at level 28.
I havent used strike playlists in forever, they dont seem useful at endgame. However if vanguard marks become highly useful again (they already are with material buying) I may have to start again. Hopefully Dragon playlist will give you more than 6 marks.
I've noticed I have not farmed a single resource since the changes. So far I've been fine with just buying them, or getting a few more from daily strikes or patrol bounties. So, they accomplished what they wanted...
I would have been fine if they had just doubled resource spawns. So that everywhere you would have gotten 1 before, you'd get 2. And 2 would be 4. You'd still have to farm, but only half as much. So it's interesting how they chose to handle it, where seemingly they almost eliminated the need to farm at all.
OTOH they made Marks relevant again (maybe doubly so with new legendaries coming) with this way, which was probably a worthwhile goal.
Now that resources is fixed, the number 1 thing I wish they'd fix in the game is the disappearing ammo on respawn bug. That one is terrible.
