CYBERPUNK 2077 [XO, XBSX|S, PC, PS4, PS5]

Phantom Liberty DLC: A Mind-Blowing Experience

I have been playing the Phantom Liberty DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 and I am blown away by the quality of everything in it. The story is captivating, the level design is stunning, the gameplay is immersive, and the audio design and the positional audio are so full of texture. They make me feel like I am really there.

One of the things that I love about this DLC is how it gives you freedom to explore and interact with the environment. You can follow the main story or you can go off the beaten path and find hidden secrets and loot. The game even reacts to your choices and actions, with characters acknowledging what you do. For example, if you are looting everything on the beaten path instead of following the objective, they will comment on your route. It feels like the game is alive and aware of you.

Another thing that I appreciate is how the game challenges you to be creative and strategic in various encounters. You can approach each encounter in different ways, using stealth, going murderspree.... You can also use the environment and hidden paths to your advantage, finding cover, vantage points, or shortcuts. The game rewards you for being smart and resourceful with literal loot rewards. No annoying unkillable enemies, no invisible walls.

I hope that this DLC will keep up this level of quality until the end. I remember that the main game had some amazing missions in the beginning, but then it lost its creativity in the middle. I hope that Phantom Liberty will not fall into that trap.

--- edited by bing chat --- and it seems microsoft has updated bingchat training data. because despite it didnt do "searching for phantom liberty", know that phantom liberty is Cyberpunk 2077 DLC.

The DLC is another master class from cdpr on game DLC. This is up there with blood and wine, I went in just to fool around with path tracing and admire some visuals but next thing you know I'm setting up my build and gear properly so I can bounce around like a cocaine fueled cyber ninja trying to get the president out of new york i mean la err dog town ;)

Not sure how it escalates further than whats already happened just in this first few hours but this is so much more than I was expecting.

I find Phantom Liberty top so far. What bothers me a lot, however, is the low-resolution sound quality of the new German voice recordings. Phantom Liberty dialogues often sound tinny and low-resolution while everything in the main game is just fine.

Something like this should have caught the attention of major German test sites. CD Projekt Red should be made aware of it but strangely enough hardly anyone else complains about it. So far everything about Phantom Liberty is terrific but why does it have to fail in something like this? Hopefully it's just an internal setting error and not the recordings itself.

Played on Xbox series s for around 30 minutes and my head is killing me... The FOV is simply too claustrophobic.

Is there absolutely no way to change the FOV on Xbox series?

Maybe by modding the save file on pc then sync to Xbox? Or by injecting files via USB storage or ftp or something, like minecraft Xbox and a few other games that can be modded?

Edit
Gonna Google around and if found no solution, I'll just try to refund it. Turns out MS got a nice page for refunds https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/buy-games-apps/refund-orders

Almost all first person games have that more or less pronounced. The animations between first and third perspective don't match. That's why CD projekt red deactivated the reflexion of the character with enabled raytracing. In this case that would be unattractive to lookat.

Other example

In GTA V in the first perspective the character holds the barrel of the pistol up while walking and in the third person he holds it down.

One game where the animations are identical/unified is Star Citizen. In Star Citizen the player next to you sees the same high quality reload animation that you see in first person.

even if it still has last gen roots, it looks really good.

How big is the dlc ?
Do you mean storage wise or time to complete the game? My steam install size is 78.62 GB. I can't really say how big it is content wise, I'm at like 9 hours into the DLC though and hardly touched the main story yet.

On a separate game related note for anyone playing, if you see one of those things falling out of the sky with the red flare smoke it's kinda like a pubg air drop. If you go there it will be surrounded by a bunch of npcs you have to kill then you can loot the air drop or whatever they want to call it for some pretty good stuff.

this bar is so amazingly designed, and the NPCs also beautifully positioned/posed.

too bad the internet doesnt support HDR images. It looks ridiculously good in HDR
