CYBERPUNK 2077 [XO, XBSX|S, PC, PS4, PS5]

There's no way I would go back to SSR after playing with RT reflections on, if performance was good enough for subjective playability.

Game changes I noticed immediately upon my first startup after the patch applied on PC:
  • My skills were completely reset. I had to go back in and re-apply all my skill points, and severeal of the skills are no longer present or have very different buff percentages. Obviously as a nod to some much needed rebalance. Which segways into:
  • My weapon damage is significantly different in pure indicated damage numbers, however it appears to be equally capable. Again, I'm guessing this is a nod to the needed damage rebalance issues.
  • Suddenly I had ALL the Cyberpsycho missions uniquely outlined, rather than (what I have experienced so far) seemingly randomly running into them as I drive around the city.
  • The glitched mission where you go check out your old car in the junkyard and find your car is invisible... The patch fixed the invisible car issue and I was able to finish that mission.

Like the rest of you, I noticed my video card started sweating it hard. I run at 2560x1440@60Hz with DLSS Quality, all RTX features enabled and Raytracing level at Psycho. Previously on the 1.31 patch, my 3080TI would hover between 1300 and 1700MHz depending on the scene. Now it just stays almost stuck at 1875MHz which is my max 0.850v undervolt stable clock. It still stays at 60Hz with only the very rare blip downward.

I also noticed far less pop-in of textures and items, and NPC pop-in seems like it's almost entirely solved which is nice. Also as others noticed, it seems like there's more NPCs floating around at a given time. And despite the silly video upstream in this thread, I do find the updated behavior of traffic seems "better" than it was. It used to be, if you bumped your car into another car, their ONLY response was to fully stop. Now it seems like they'll not only move, but sometimes haul ass.

I'm happy with the patch so far.

I had to reset all my perks too, and I noticed the missions seem a lot easier to understand now which really adds a lot of enjoyment to the game for me.

It was in the patch notes that everyone perks were reset due to significant changes in how some of them work, with an entire group renamed.

I've tried the options more and....

The decision to do RT shadows for PS5 XSX turns out make sense.

I just tried, and using RT shadows but with ssao and other shadows options dialed to low or even off, result in higher quality shadows with minimum performance impact.

@see colon
Yeah RT lighting despite looks subtle in lots of places, but it does make the game looks more atmospheric. More.... "right"

But on consoles it results in a 60 vs 30 binary which doesnt seem very optimal. Your statement makes sense if it was "60 with a few dips" vs 60 "with a little more dips" or something on console maybe....which would be in line with "minimal performance impact".

I think i see a future or better said prefer to see these console games to mostly skip RT and go full-on rasterization and use other methods instead. The performance just isnt there for RT and the trade-offs are never worth it basically n console. Look at Horizon Forbidden West, it probably looks like it does because it doesnt implement ray tracing at all. Same for GT7 ingame.

Sorry I was unclear. I meant with considering how "weak" the RT hardware on current gen consoles compared to rtx 3000

You are missing the best part of the Cyberpunk ARG. Read the patch notes, find things they said they fixed but didn't. This time, it was VRS. Where is it?

Very Rare Secret

the issue of car spawning inside each other, and spawning in the air also still occur. Albeit now if you ride the car, it will drop to the ground. Instead of stuck in the air

No matter how gorgeous CP 2077 is, the game just fizzled for me after completing it. There has to be a major update for me to return (i.e., vastly improved NPC interactions, more dynamic and/or random NPC events, greater and deeper story branching, and other things CDPR initially promised or spoke about).
