CYBERPUNK 2077 [XO, XBSX|S, PC, PS4, PS5]

Just installed. I really don’t want to wait any longer to play. Regrettably I preordered the disc version of this because it was cheaper. But todays prices are even cheaper new lol.

many way. Sigh. I didn’t think I would have a 3070 either. Wish I got this on pc

I think I'll finish this game when I buy the 4080...
I can't play it without full RT and at least quality DLSS, and right now I get 35 fps on my 2080.
Same thing happened with the Witcher 3.
I started with a 970, and finished it on my 2080 at 100 fps give or take depending on the location.

I guess it will have all the DLCs by then, so... :)

Yep same here. Its perfectly playable on my 1070 at compromised settings but I'm waiting until I can play it the way it was meant to be played. If the 4xxx series is actually affordable that is.

I am sure I am dumb but this is the most obtuse game I have ever seen. I fiddled with my very early save for a couple minutes and cant figure out how to do anything such as...put my gun away. And despite not doing anything I keep ending up wanted and gunned down by cops within 5 minutes. I believe the first time was probably just because I pulled my gun out in public (but I cant figure out how to put it away). Second time I just walked up to a cop and that triggered him to start shooting me (I think I may have had my knife out but it was hidden to me) . And they chase very aggressively.

The city looks cool but at the same time the sunlight lighting is harsh and odd, I suppose a lot of it is artistic choices.

Also I am mr "30 FPS+more gfx is better" bluster but maybe because I am very used to 60 FPS Destiny it felt pretty bad. Given AFAIK I know it only adds 'RT shadows" that you cannot really tell a difference, I may go back to 60. I dunno, is that headlights shadow video exclusive to RT? If so maybe I'll stay on RT.

Anyways the easy thing to say is especially given AMD's poor implementation, RT is going to be little more then marketing this gen. At least so far.

The Elanalistadebits guy said (I think) PC Ultra version is still significantly better, the next gen console versions could use more upgrading.
Don't feel bad, I'm on about my 7th play through and I'm still learning things as I go. I HATE how hard it is to holster your weapon, and if you accidentally show it for a second everyone treats you as some psycho killer even though tons of people are walking around armed/cybered up.

The game has sort of clunky controls and a stealthily hard freaking learning curve that's very unintuitive, you are not the only one who's had that problem or felt that way. Trust me, I felt like a bloody moron for my first couple times through and I'm just now getting to the point where the game is enjoyable without being stressful.

I think this game will be sort of like GTA V for me, one I'll replay every time I upgrade because I'll get more out of it. :)

Its the standard of using triangle (or Y in Xbox or X on Nintendo) for weapon stuff.

Double tap it to hide weapon (very buggy before 1.5, sometimes buggy in 1.5). Hold it a few secs to show the weapon wheel and you can select weapon and hide weapon. Using weapon wheel avoids the bug.

ROFL turns out the game looks waaaay better with ray tracing reflection disabled, the perf boost also nice.

What's smart pistol? Yeah I find the gunplay a little weird, like I forgot to aim and shoot enemies, but I'm pretty sure it's not me.

All weapons marked as smart have auto target lock and homing bullets. The same as titanfall smart pistol.

Allowing me to aim calmly or run and gun like Rambo

Are you talking about the PS5/XBSX versions?
I think they don't have RT reflections, only RT shadows.
From some comparson videos that I've looked, I really can see very little difference between RT on or off. In some video a car dashboard was better lit in first person view with RT on. Couldn't really spot any other differences worth mentioning.

The RT in the console version doesn't have much value. The RT lighting in the PC version is a nice enhancement. Not game changing but better than typical ultra settings.

PC version

RT reflection looks blurry and smeary. While SSR looks consistent

I actually don't disagree with this. RT reflections in the game look oily even at the highest settings, while SSR looks sharper. It just has the normal disadvantages of SSR. What I think changes the games look overall is psycho RT lighting. But the performance hit is pretty high, and if you are using any one RT effect, turning on the others is proportionally less.

I've tried the options more and....

The decision to do RT shadows for PS5 XSX turns out make sense.

I just tried, and using RT shadows but with ssao and other shadows options dialed to low or even off, result in higher quality shadows with minimum performance impact.

@see colon
Yeah RT lighting despite looks subtle in lots of places, but it does make the game looks more atmospheric. More.... "right"
