Cheap system with 6-display outputs

I originally said 3 outputs per card, but then I was informed that it's not possible .

what are those NV extensions, and did you test on ATI or other hardware? I've realized that a number of vendor-branded extensions do get supported by other vendors.

I only found that very old pdf from 2002, but there are a few supported NV and silicon graphics extensions.

Blazkowicz: I am certain that the application CAN be ported to ATI. I do not, however, have the time to port it, and it's easier to spend money on an NV display solution than spend time (which costs more) on porting it to ATI. The pragmatic approach works best here.

Blazkowicz, not upset at all, sorry if I conveyed that tone! I'm not sure exactly what the list of extensions are, but I can certainly find it out if you're interested. I found out this problem by testing on relatively recent ATI HW - can get you the exact chip tomorrow. How about that?

Also, what ATI options are there to drive 6 displays and up on Linux with HW accelerated OpenGL?
