Well one thing I can tell you is that its bigger than a PS2, yet smaller than the Xbox1. So what do you think now?

Well the convex shape of the system will make it large than the PS2, but if the overall dimensions are kept around the size of that system it should look fine. Note that X360 is around the same size of the Xbox1, the fact that it is convace rather than convex gives it the look of it being quite a bit smaller when in actuality it really isn't.

    Actually both PS3 and X360 are large.....with PS3 being a tad smaller.

According to that, at least (which is estimates on PS3, it seems).

It does look very nice in that pic. I maybe nitpicking but hope they lose the Spiderman movie font.

Any object with a shiny black gloss coating will look good. Heck even the hideous Xbox1 with a shiny black glossy finish will give it the same cool design illusion.

Actually X360 will look smaller than Xbox even if the sides were flat since it is thinner.

And that proves what exactly? the design isn't hideous like Xbox1's, the glossy look accentuates the look of the system and makes it look all the better. If the PS3 didn't have a shiny gloss it'd still look good, the previous promo shots I've posted don't have the glossy look yet the system still looks nice.

ANYWAY... if you buy a console based on looks you're crazy it's all about the games but if you have a nice console to look at...... that's a plus in my book.

Well its a console so finger prints shouldn't be a huge problem. Not as bad as the PSP. Yet people still love the glossy look of the PSP too so...

When its clean . Show someone a used psp and see how much they like it . It only looks great when its cleaned up . I know , cause i have to clean my psp all the time . It got to the point where i just bought a skin for it so i wouldn't have to clean the face anymore

A shiny PS3 (especially in black, though aluminuim will suffice) will look slick. A matte-grey look a la PS1 will look like a child's toy. Let's hope Sony go with a "slick" look.

    is that silver one brushed?

A brushed silver finish would look cool to me and hide dust and fingerprints. :D

    I like the design personally.

    Very elegant.

Thats not point of this thread?
I`ll get a PS3, but its still looking fugly to me, and I`d really prefer if it
*) dint look shiny - its gonna sit around the TV and other Components, and not in a Vitrine for shiny... Stuff
    *) being not convex/concave (I always switch those 2 )

(Needless to say I like the PS2-Design ALOT)

The black one looks just sexy. But it will be a big dust trap. :(
