I've never owned a Sony console and I don't think things will change unless it's the only platform out there. My gaming needs have always been satisfied by Sega and Nintendo. This generation, between my Xbox, PC and GameCube, the PS2 was irrelevant.
It's all about upgrading my gaming PC, playing on Xbox Live and enjoying Nintendo's innovation. There's nothing Sony can say that will make me take money away from a new video-card, and Xbox 360, a new DLP and a Revolution. The only Japanese games I give a damn about are Nintendo games. When I hear "Playstation" I think Final Fantasy, MGS, Tekken etc. None of those series interests me. I absolutely abhor Japanese "RPG's" and I'm waiting for Oblivion with pregnant expectation. MGS reeks of Japanese corniness IMO and I prefer the realism of Splinter Cell.
My favorite types of games are sports games (Xbox), realistic military sims (PC) and Nintendo games (GameCube).
