Nobody will buy it because Sony will announce the PS4 around the time the new Dreamcast2 is launched. ;)

You mean nobody would buy it because Sega will announce the 512X attachment to Dreamcast that finally bring DVD support only to be replaced a year later by the Sega Universe console. ;)

Then Sony would announce their bid, but in so doing MICROSOFT would announce XBox 3 with Direct X16 bit and Halo 56

That's not a Sega product! It's some kind of third-party monstrosity.
Doesn't really matter for the argument, that Nintendo pioneered and everyone else copied. Someone else beat Nintendo to the punch with the dual-stick layout that they then used, ergo they didn't invent it. Which is usual. The best ideas are often created in some obscure back-corner and never get anywhere, until someone refines it and releases it with some publicity, and they get all the credit.

SEGA SAMMY recently forecast a net profit of $200m for year ending March 31 2010, So I can see them getting back into hardware again.

Hey hey hey!! The 3DO was awesome!! :runaway:
And Trip Hawkins' constant stream of grade-A bullshit about it was even better.

Wonder what that guy is doing today, btw. With his track record of straight-up honesty he's selling used cars I'd imagine.

Are you Trip Hawkins?

I think he's Texan...Pretty sure of it actually. Same nick posts at Texan's web site, although it's hostile against Texan there. That probably means that Texan is using that nick here to camouflage himself. Highjacking nicks is one of his favourite hobbies. Or he is so nuts that he is arguing with himself on his site I'm 50/50 on this :)
Either way, I'm pretty sure it's Texan.

He is going overboard at his own site at the moment and is posting under numerous different nicks there.

AMD does similar kind of numbers and look at their annual hardware output, entire line of CPUs and GPUs.

$200m+ is all you need.

I don't know who "texan" is, I only recently started reading this forum.

Maybe this makes sense in some other bizarro realm? or maybe not. That's perhaps the stupidest post I have ever read.

Sure... Same nick from Texan's site just happens to pop up here in a Sega thread spouting unholy nonsense from hell about Sega coming back with epic fail material to back it up. Something that has happened multiple times in the past as well. Sounds a bit too familiar to me.

But please share more of your ideas, what is Sega up to now?

Someone like that could make millions in a big multinational as a sales man. Maybe not millions, but enough for sure. And i'm not even joking!

I don't doubt it. Ruthless recklessness with the truth helps a lot when you need to create hype and to get stuff sold.

Hell, Trip's the guy you want when you need to sell ED-209 to the military... He could do it, after he's done the generals would be convinced the thing can do anything.
